Sam and Ronnie’s rustic elegance wedding theme was definitely a show stopper. Their very thoughtful personal touches said a great deal about this awesome couple. Starting off with Sam’s playful entrance for Ronnie’s first look at his gorgeous bride to be! A beautiful September day at the Elkridge Furnace Inn for the ceremony and reception. This organic style was fun to design and put together. The accents of King protea, Protea owl and blushing bride (Serrurria) were fun floral varieties to incorporate. Protea, is one of the oldest families of flowers on earth. Protea symbolizes strength, diversity, courage and transformation.
We had so much fun venturing out to the historic district of Philadelphia for the winter wedding of Katie and Conor. The Union Trust building, recently renovated, is now the newest and chicest event venue in the heart of the Old City district. With 10,000 square foot, bi-level neoclassical oak floors and floor-to-ceiling windows, and other architectural detailing, Union Trust radiates an ambiance that is both intimate and opulent, where classic form meets modern function and swank. It really seemed fitting for our bride Katie, who we had the pleasure of meeting at a wedding last May at Four Seasons, where she works. We fell in love with her vibrant classy spirit. We loved creating gorgeous florals for Katie, who had chosen a winter white theme for her wedding. Her bouquet is elegant with ivory Vendella roses, white garden roses, ranunculus and anemones.
The beautiful and delightful June bride Molly looks stunning in her dress with a silver beaded belt — and her floral crown of peach David Austin “Juliet” Garden Roses, wax flowers, Italian ruscus and seeded eucalyptus.
The muted corals and peach in her bouquet repeat through her bridesmaids bouquets, which are accented with unique succulents and Queen Anne’s Lace. The three darling flower girls’ bouquets and crowns feature coral and ivory spray roses.
The gorgeous setting of the historic Comus Inn country property ~ with the backdrop of Sugarloaf Mountain~ was perfect for the rustic vintage glamour of our bride’s style.
Several of the unique outbuildings provided fun and interesting backdrops for the photographer to capture the joy and natural beauty of the bride and her wedding party.
